You might be shocked at the taste of this deli fresh pepperoni pizza! The pepperoni had a nice spicy kick and was scattered around on top. It had tiny pieces of ham also. It was topped with four cheeses: provolone, parmesan, romano, and mozzarella. I noticed a mix of herbs for seasoning.
We’ve always bought frozen pizza or we order the carry out/delivery kind. There’s no particular reason. We just didn’t give it a chance – what a mistake.
I bought an extra large pepperoni pizza. I recommend using a flat large baking sheet to slide it onto the oven rack and to remove it.
That first bite? It was delicious. It was soft, flavorful, and fresh. The cheese, herbs, meat – everything came together nicely. It had the right amount of tomato sauce. The onion and garlic powder gave it a zesty taste.
The crust was on the thin side and was soft and chewy while the bottom was crunchy. I cooked it 18 minutes. (This is on the low end of their recommended cooking time range.)
We all liked this pizza and were so surprised at how fresh and flavorful it was. It’s hard to beat a carry out pizza, but in 18 minutes you’ll have a delicious fresh pizza hot out of the oven.
Marketside™ Extra Large Pepperoni Pizza (45 oz.) (IN STORES ONLY) $7.99
The medium (23.5 oz) was $5.99. So for $2.00 more you get twice the amount of pizza when you buy an extra large.
We’re saying goodbye to frozen pizza. See ya! And hello! to deli fresh.
I saw a bacon pineapple pizza there – that will soon be in my shopping cart.
See you at Walmart!
