Boy oh boy here are some really great bath time items (Foam Soap, Dino Fizz, Magic Fish Bath Sponges, Bath Crayons – to name a few).
My kids have turned bath time into an adventure over the years. Sometimes all four have piled in there with swimsuits on. Several times it’s turned into a “revolving hurricane”, “Quick, move the rug and plants,” I’ve yelled as a big wave was about to escape.
My kids snorkel in the tub too. They’ve even had bath foam decorating contests in there. In the winter, it’s the next best thing to an indoor pool.
These products can make bath time even more fun.
Mr. Bubble™ Original Foam Soap 8 oz. (2 ct) $4.48
Our all-time favorite is foam soap. We’ve used blue and pink foam for years – so orange and purple are new colors. I saw rainbow foam on my last shopping trip – which we can’t wait to try. You can make just about anything with it. Plus, you can make your bath buddy look like Abraham Lincoln (with his beard).
Dino-Fizz™ – Tyrannosaurus (IN STORES ONLY) $1.42
Our newest favorite bath product is the Dino-Fizz Tyrannosaurus Egg. It is really exciting to see the egg when you first put it in the water. There is an immediate rush of bubbles like a volcano is erupting. And then we keep checking the dissolving progress of the egg – it dissolves fast. Our purple egg turned the water a light plum purple.
We expected the dinosaur to be the typical hard plastic kind. But instead, it was a tiny, thin soft dinosaur. After the egg dissolves, the dinosaur pops to the surface and floats.
My kids smelled good after the bath. I mean, they always smell good after a bath but the purple water gave them a light fruity scent. I’ll guess it was “grape”, so that was nice. The dinosaur egg made the bath very fun.
Garanimals™ Magic Fish Bath Sponges (3) (IN STORES ONLY) $3.50
When you drop this packet in the warm bath water it dissolves instantly. And out pops a sponge shaped like a fish. It colors the bath water and is about 2-3” x 4½-5½” long. These three packets had pink, yellow, and blue sponge fishes. They enjoy the fish sponges at every bath now.
Munchkin™ Bath Crayons (5 ct.) $5.97 + free shipping
My kids have played with bath crayons in the tub since they were little. You can color and draw on the tub or tile with a nice bright color. It’s as if you’re using real crayons, but they wash off easily. The actual crayons are half the length of the tube. I like the darkness of the crayons. With their wax they stay put until you wash them off.
3-in-1 Body Wash, Shampoo, and Conditioner – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles™, Monsters™, and Despicable Me™ $2.78 each
Aren’t these the cutest 3-in-1 bath washes you’ve ever seen? I asked my youngest son to choose his favorite because I was “only going to buy one”. But the decision was so tough, even for me, so we bought all of them.
The turtle is citrus cool, the monster is scary berry, and the minion is strawberry banana. I do recommend you smell them though, to make sure you like the scent. They seemed like strong scents in the store but were totally fine in the tub.
My First Crayola™ Washable Bath Markers (4 ct.) (IN STORES ONLY) $4.97
This was a new product for us. You have to press down on the tips to activate them. It takes a little practice to get the color flowing. You have to press as you paint. They release a very light pastel color as you paint the tub.
You can find these bath items in the beauty shampoo area, the baby bath toys area, or the pharmacy soap area. Notice what ages the product is intended for as well.
So, if your kids dread taking a bath, then these bath time things will make it fun.
Just now I was in our tub retesting the markers and crayons. And I thought, “I sure could use a hot bath soak”. Maybe I’ll have to do some more testing!
See you at Walmart!
