It’s fun to put on a facial mask and treat your skin to some lovin. But what’s the right one to get? How do they smell? What do they look like? Do they work?
We tried these facial masks (two peel-off, two wash-off, and one overnight) so we could find out.
When I came home, I said, “I bought some facial masks to try”. Immediately there was electricity, excitement, and a breeze in the air. My youngest daughter raced into the room with big eyes and a huge smile – she was thrilled to put on these masks with me.
She was adorable getting into the spirit of things. She put on fun music and cut cucumber slices. We thought we’d put them on our eyes but ended up eating them instead – oops. : ) She ran to get headbands to keep our hair back. So, I’m glad we bought these facial masks – she had a lot of fun.
Peel-Off Masks
Freeman™ Feeling Beautiful™ Pomegranate Revealing Peel-Off Mask .5 oz $1.37
I love pomegranates so we thought this peel-off mask would be nice to try. I was hoping it smelled like berry, but it did not. It came out in a thick clear/slightly purple liquid.
It felt fine on our skin and went on smoothly and easily. It looks clear and shiny on your face. And it dried pretty quickly.
After the peel-off mask dries – your skin feels a little tight. When you peel it it comes off in small pieces and tickles a little. Then, we washed our faces with warm water.
The package says it refines and purifies, immerses skin in super nutrients. And it uses an 8 antioxidant blend to guard against free radicals and environmental stress. It can be used with all skin types.
Freeman™ Feeling Beautiful™ Sweet Tea and Lemon Peel-Away Clay Mask .5 oz $1.37
After the clear mask it was a shock to see this mask come out as a thick orange liquid.
The nice thing about the orange color is you can see exactly where it is – so you can peel it off. It had a nice smell – a mix of lemon and tea.
We liked this peel off mask better because it smelled nice, was easy to see, and peels off in large sheets. Since it clung so well I’d think it would remove even more unwanted things from your skin.
The package says it pulls off pore-clogging grime, absorbs oil, refines, and tones skin. It’s for normal/combination skin.
Both peel-off masks lift off grime and oil to leave your skin feeling refined.
Wash-Off Masks
Freeman™ Feeling Beautiful™ Dead Sea Minerals Anti-Stress Mask .5 oz $1.37
We thought the orange mask was a shock until this BLUE mask came out! And it’s very thick like a mud. But, it smelled amazing – like lavender.
Even though it suggests putting on both your face and neck we only put it on our face. We didn’t want it to get on our clothes.
Within five minutes or so it hardened. Then we washed it off with warm water. I’d recommend using a washcloth to get it all off.
This is the mask you want to use at a spa party because everyone will get a laugh out of seeing each other’s blue faces.
The package says it clears pores, smooths skin, is nutrient rich, replenishes and balances moisture, and rinses away skin stress. It’s good for all skin types.
Freeman™ Feeling Beautiful™ Banana-Oat Instant Smoothing Mask .5 oz $1.37
This banana oat mask smelled like a yummy banana coconut smoothie. It looks like a light yellow colored gel.
It felt really smooth and comfortable when we put it on. It goes on clear and was gentle. It also clings to your skin, so use a washcloth to get it off.
This wash-off mask was our favorite. It smelled good, had a clear gel and made our face feel smooth.
The package says it exfoliates dead skin cells. It’s good for all skin types.
Both wash-off masks smell good, and leave your skin soft and smooth.
Overnight Mask
Freeman™ Feeling Beautiful™ Honeydew and Chamomile Sleeping Mask .5 oz $1.37
We thought this had a garden fresh smell – kind of like honeydew and cucumber. It is like a very thick white lotion.
It went on smoothly and was clear. It stung when it was first applied and then felt fine. The package says it “absorbs like a cream, so it won’t get on your pillows”. We found that it mostly dried – but felt a tiny bit of oil when touched.
It was fine to sleep in and washed off easily the next morning.
If you ever have a really dry face, like happens to me sometimes in the winter, this is what you should use. It hydrates deeply and rejuvenates skin.
I don’t regularly use a night moisturizer so the sleeping mask was so good for my skin. It needed the hydration.
I’m so glad we tried these facial masks with smaller packs first. Each package gives you 2-4 applications. So, after you try one, you can buy your favorite in a regular sized container.
I would absolutely buy these masks if I had a spa party. Guests would have so much fun trying out the different masks. And they would make a great gift for a teen.
If you have dry skin, choose an overnight mask. If you want to clear pores get a peel-off. And if you want to exfoliate then a wash off would be a good choice.
All of them left our skin feeling smooth, soft, clean, and pampered.
See you at Walmart!
