Also wrap a rubber band around the center.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">IMPORTANT \u2013 Use a measuring tape to precisely measure the distance between the crisscrosses on the rubber bands.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">On the 3\u201d ball, the distance should be 2-3\/8\u201d. Keep maneuvering the rubber bands until they are all exactly the same distance. For the 2\u201d ball, the distance should be 1\u00bd\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><u>Measure each distance twice.<\/u> The lines MUST be equally spaced apart. Then you will be able to evenly wrap the final ribbon around the sides. If the measurement is not precise, a gap of styrofoam will show through!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">With the ultra fine tip marker, trace along both edges of every rubber band to mark the centering lines.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Take the rubber bands off.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> <strong>NOTE: <\/strong>For the <u>front<\/u> of the snowman body \u2013 complete these steps.<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<strong>Red Center Star<\/strong> (5 ribbon pieces)<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7699 size-full\" title=\"Quilted Snowman Body - Red Center Star 1\" src=\"https:\/\/yesilovewalmart.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/quilted-snowman-body-red-center-star-1.jpg\" alt=\"Quilted Snowman Body - Red Center Star 1\" width=\"464\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/yesilovewalmart.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/quilted-snowman-body-red-center-star-1.jpg 464w, https:\/\/yesilovewalmart.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/quilted-snowman-body-red-center-star-1-300x291.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 464px) 100vw, 464px\" \/><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Pin one triangle of the 1\u201d red ribbon centered across the center equator. (This is just done on each end so no styrofoam shows through the center star.)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Fold another triangle in half to find the center.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Stick an applique pin in the back side of the ribbon in the center \u2013 just below the top edge. Pin it a hair below the center of the vertical ribbon. Be sure it hides the top pin. If your pin shows, you have it in too close to the edge of the ribbon. Take it out and repin it.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Press the flaps down flat and pin them at the bottom corners.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Pin another triangle directly across the equator (opposite to the first triangle). If they aren\u2019t lined up right, something is out of position.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Bottom of the folds \u2013 They may need to overlap so no styrofoam shows through.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Spacing Rulers<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Cut two pieces of cardstock: \u00bc x 1\u201d and \u00bd x 1\u201d to use as \u201cspacing rulers\u201d.
